Certification of Competency
: Competency
for unit standards is determined on two levels ... the formative
assessment by way of written submissions and course examination. The
course examination is a one hour exercise requiring a pass mark of 75%
as set by The Nature College at an appropriate time & location.
Secondly, the summative assessment is a practical evaluation of a
guiding scenario in the field. You will be required to conduct a 45
minute guided nature trail and will be evaluated by an assessor.
THETA
is then notified of the competency outcome and a certificate is issued.
This competency certificate together with a basic first aid medical
qualification means that you can register with the Department of
Economic Development and legally lead people into a natural
environment.
